Use Doomguy and Duke’s guns together

Doom: Doom Vs Duke Nukem Mod is a free video game utility that fuses two different games’ assets into popular action shooter game, Doom. Developed by doomvsduke, this mod takes the weapons—and even some enemies—from Duke Nukem Forever and Doom 3 and transports them into the world of Doom. You’ll have to use GZDoom for this mod but you can partner this with other mods such as those that change the map design.

Let these demons eat some lead

Doom is a famous 1993 first-person shooter game developed by id Software. You play as a hardened space marine, who must battle against a horde of invading demons in order to save Earth. The game became highly popular, spawning several successive games such as the 2004 reboot, Doom 3—wherein the story is mostly the same, but the graphics were upgraded compared to the first game.

Meanwhile, Duke Nukem Forever is a 2011 first-person shooter video game originally developed by 3D Realms. It is the sequel to 1996's Duke Nukem 3D and is the fifteenth installment in the Duke Nukem series. Here, you play as an action hero who must come out of retirement and save the world from aliens when they begin kidnapping the women of Earth. Comparing these games, then, there’s a lot of similar elements worth modding for.

The Doom Vs Duke Nukem mod doesn’t pit the two protagonists against each other. Instead, it ports the various weapons from Doom 3 and Duke Nukem Forever into Doom. The models’ 3D graphics were preserved, and you get to collect both of the games’ weapons. You can even use Duke Nukem’s signature kicking action. The Battlelord enemy from Duke Nukem Forever has also ported here, allowing you to try killing it with Doom firearms.

Only came for the smokin’ guns

Overall, Doom: Doom Vs Duke Nukem Mod is a great crossover mod for any fans of the two gaming series. Unfortunately, there’s nothing much else that this mod offers. However, since you can use it alongside other mods that work in GZDoom, then you can keep on experimenting with making the best crossover shooter experience here.
